Event Details
The Division of Cancer Prevention is interested in hearing from the extramural research and patient advocate community regarding knowledge gaps and priorities for symptom management research, particularly as it pertains to understanding the mechanisms of cancer and treatment related symptoms and toxicities. Please join Dr. Ann O’Mara, Head, Palliative Care Research in the Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP), and other DCP staff for one of two webinar sessions, NCI Listens: Identifying Opportunities for Symptom Management Research in Response to Blue Ribbon Report. The webinar will be repeated so participants may select the date/time that works best. Comments from these sessions will help to inform planning and directions for future funding announcements related to the Blue Ribbon Panel’s recommendation on symptom management (Recommendation F). A more detailed description that formed the basis of the recommendation can be found here on pages 88-99.
Webinar Option #2: Thursday, April 6, 4-5 pm EST, REGISTER HERE
We encourage you to submit comments in advance so that we can review and address them during the sessions. Specifically, we are interested in your perspectives on major gaps, needs, and ideas related to understanding the mechanisms of cancer and treatment related symptoms and toxicities. There will also be an opportunity to provide comments via live chat during the webinars. If you are unable to attend either webinar but would like to submit comments, please send them to NCORP@mail.nih.gov
